SATURDAY drum and dance workshop: Michael Taylor will teach the popular West African rhythm Tiriba, and Leah Ivory will teach traditional choreography that goes with this rhythm. 1-3:45pm. Front St Studio at the Wealthy Theater Annex. 1110 Wealthy St SE. $25/adult. $15/student.

Both classes are open to all levels of experience. Taylor has studied with many of the best djembefolas in the world and he has a clear West African dialect. If you are a beginner, he is a wonderful teacher to begin with. If you are more experienced, he has LOTS of material to challenge us with!
